Florida Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, is catching plenty of heat these days from Republican donors who are not happy campers.
A new report from Axios says that Scott is hearing it from the GOP donor base who are said to be “furious” with turncoat Republicans who voted for Biden’s massive ‘infrastructure’ bill.
Of course, voters are just as furious – but when the money people speak, the politicians actually listen.
SCOOP: Sen. Rick Scott told colleagues that top party donors were “furious” with the number of Republicans — including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell — who voted for the bipartisan infrastructure bill, two sources familiar with his remarks tell Axios.https://t.co/PdGi9eUKH5

If The Donors Aren’t Happy…
Axios reports that donors are complaining to Scott about the GOP’s “foolishness” in helping Democrats and President Joe Biden push through the trillion dollar legislation.
Sen. Scott relayed GOP donor ire to his fellow senators earlier this week at a closed door meeting. Reports are that it made for some awkward moments as several of those who voted for the bill were in attendance.
Prior to the meeting, several Republicans from both the House and Senate actually had the gall to attend the bill signing ceremony. As expected, the attendees were the usual GOP suspects including Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Mitt Romney (R-UT).
The National, establishment Republican Party is not in touch with its base.
We must beat them and replace them.

Donors May Have To Prepare To Be A Bit Angrier
It could get a bit dicey to be a GOP donor in 2022 and 2024. While Donald Trump’s plans are still officially unknown, the Republican establishment seems to be trying to either distance themselves from a Trump run – or even against one.
During a recent appearance on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Scott was asked if the NRSC would support candidates like Murkowski, who has a primary challenger that Trump has endorsed. Scott replied:
“Absolutely. … We support all of our incumbents. And fortunately for us, we’ve got great candidates running in our primaries. And fortunately for us, we’ve got Bernie Sanders candidates on the other side in many primaries, and so we’re going to be in a great position in ‘22.”
But Scott and the NRSC apparently want it both ways. During the same appearance, he said it would be “foolish” candidates to not seek out the former president’s endorsement.
If you are a Republican donor, you might want to cut that check for some anger management classes during the next two election cycles.
